- 1507: A man in black is seen running from a burning house; the Cahill branch founders are nearby. Gideon Cahill dies in the fire.[1][2]
- 1500s: A scribe writes about Caesar's campaign in Gaul, ends up in Grace's library. [3]
- 1555: Philip II of Spain becomes the head of the Order of the Golden Fleece. [4]
- 1700: The Order of the Golden Fleece splits into Spanish and Austrian Orders. [4]
- 1739: Ben Franklin writes the Poor Richard's Almanack as Richard Saunders. [5]
- 1785: Thomas Jefferson writes Paris Field Report No. 12 to the Janus Leadership. [6]
- 1785: In Paris, Ben Franklin writes a normal letter, and secret message, to Jay. [7]
