(title)
What Really Happened to the Mary Celeste?

(picture of the ghost ship.)
In 1872, the Mary Celeste was spotted heading toward Gibralter(sic) at full speed. But something was wrong -- the ship's crew and captain were missing.

The question is why? Why did the men of the Mary Celeste leave? Why did they abandon their food, shelter, and livelihoods? What if they didn't choose to leave? What if they were forced?

Some might disagree. Some will suggest that the ship was struck by a rogue wave, or crossed the path of a waterspout (a water-filled tornado). Others will suggest piracy. These theories are absurd. There was no damage to the ship and no sign of a struggle. Captain Briggs and his men were taken from the ship.

Buy by whom? Here are the usual suspects:

The Freemasons
The Freemasons are a secret organization who counted among their members every founding father of the United States. Their symbol is a "G" surrounded by a square ruler and a sextant. And what was one of the few items taken from the ship? A sextant! The connection is hard to deny.

The Lucians
No one believes me, but there is this creepy group of people out there called the Lucians. For real! Taking a group of innocent people off a ship sounds like just the kind of thing these snakes would do. It doesn't really explain the writing on the sail, but STILL!

UFOs
Maybe this is nothing more than a simple case of alien abduction. We all know many people disappear each year because of aliens.

Clearly, it was the work of Freemasons, the Lucians, or UFOs, or some combination of the three. Then again, maybe Captain Briggs ordered his men to climb into the lifeboat in order to "air out the ship," when a strong wind broke the rope tying the lifeboat to the ship, and the ship sailed away, leaving its men behind. Or maybe that's what they want you to think.
