[edit] Card 108

[edit] Summary

Famed pilot Amelia Earhart inspired the world by becoming the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Yet the adventurer didn't stop there. She wanted to be the first woman to circumnavigate the globe. In 1937, she took off from Miami and flew 22,000 miles around the world, making strategic stops along the way. But tragically, with only 7,000 miles left, her plane disappeared in the South Pacific and Earhart was never seen again. Some people believe Earhart had an even bigger goal than flying around the world - that she was actually looking for the 39 Clues. If that's true, then her flight log would be a useful tool for Clue hunters. That is, if they can decipher its hidden message . . .

H,

I finally heard back from Shep. Apparently no one told him it's not a good idea to hang your wet suit near your internet router. He's happy to fly us back to Adelaide and then on to Darwin. But we should send him a reminder from Bangkok or Singapore, in case he get distracted by some gnarly swells...

When you see Grace later, can you ask her to confirm the Kabras are in Moscow? I know it sounds paranoid, but there was a car with tinted windows parked outside our house all morning. And then, when I was leaving campus, I thought I saw... never mind. I don't want to worry you. We just need to stay on our guard.

Love, A
