Why do so many planes and ships sink in the Bermuda Triangle? It's because the Ekats have a Top Secret stronghold on an island there, and they're protecting a Clue. The brilliant Ekat scientist Marie Curie discovered the Clue and delivered to the stronghold. Now that the Clue is safe on an island that even the Tomas with their navigation sense can't reach, the Ekats will do anything to keep intruders away - including "disappearing" any vessel that comes near.
