[edit] Card 60

[edit] Summary

Hope Cahill, Dan and Amy's mother, had a trick up her sleeve. When she damaged her wrist in a car wreck, the X-ray revealed more than just flesh and bones. Right up near her radius, the X-ray showed a computer chip. The thumbnail-sized chip was small but big enough to carry some extremely important information.

Stolen Archive file 60: A page from Hope Cahill's medical records

(letterhead Boston General Hospital)

Date: January 3, 1999
Patient name: Hope Cahill
Age: 39
Sex: Female
Reason for visit: Sprained wrist
Procedures: X-ray

Comments: The patient was brought to the hospital against her will after a minor car accident. When I told her we would need to X-ray her wrist, she became visibly anxious. I assured her that the procedure was completely painless, but she was distressed and tried to leave. Her husband convinced the patient to stay, saying "Don't worry, it will mean nothing to him."

When the X-ray technician finished, I reviewed the films. The patient's wrist was fine, but to my amazement, there seemed to be a strange object in her arm. It looked like some sort of electronic chip.

I was concerned and tried to discuss the matter with the patient, but she was silent. I suspected Mafia involvement but chose not to alert the police.
