June 30, 1916 GRL Lufbery took the Nieuport 28 out and took down two enemy planes over Verdun!
July 31, 1916 GRL Lufbery flew straight into a group of four enemy planes, attacking them at close range. Not only did he shoot one down, but he was able to survive!
August 4, 1916 GRL That man can fly! Went out today and made the unit proud, shooting down ANOTHER plane.
September 20, 1916 GRL Lufbery took the plane and Whiskey, the squad's pet lion cub, out for a flight without telling anyone. Arrived with an unknown package.
October 12, 1916 GRL He's taken five enemy planes down. Lufbery is officially an ace! He's the head flier of the squadron.
